What It Did
Expanded health insurance coverage through Medicaid expansion, insurance marketplaces, and an individual mandate. Prohibited denial of coverage for pre-existing conditions and allowed children to stay on parents' plans until age 26. The most significant healthcare reform since Medicare in 1965.
